- I am a second grade teacher at the school I attended when I was a child--in the exact same classroom where I was a second grade student---and where my teacher was also named Mrs. Brooks :)
- I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 12 years. (I love you, Travis!!)
- We have one child who was born into our family. She is 9 years old.
- We have two children who were adopted into our family. The girlie is 8 and the boy is 7.
- I was saved by grace when I was 15 years old in the same church my husband and I later married in.
- Fall is my favorite season because I love the excitement of school starting, all the sports going on, homecoming, leaves falling, and the smells. It takes me back to when I was in a kid.
- I really like me a good sale and a good coupon to go with it. Why pay full price for something if you can get it cheaper and keep some of your money???
- Starbucks Christmas Blend is by far the best coffee out there...Why don't they produce it all year??
- Christmas is my all-time favorite holiday. Always has been, always will be.
- I am a major bookworm from way back. I will read anything I can get my hands on.
- I love, love, love to write. Reading and writing--and history--were my favorite subjects all through school.
